The Mocha Maran is a cross between Novogen’s bloodline of Rhode Island Red hen and their French Black Copper Maran rooster. This combination creates a beautiful bird with rustic or reddish-brown tones paired with a darker brown to black body. They are known to adapt well to all living environments. Chicks are able to be color sexed, guaranteeing near 100% gender accuracy. Due to the cross some may develop feathered legs while others will not. Overall, the Mocha Maran provides a vibrant colored bird, high laying efficiency, and a unique egg color to add to your flock.
