Activated charcoal gel is a ready to use, multi-species formula enhanced with electrolytes. It contains activated bone charcoal and attapulgite clay and is intended for use as an emergency first aid treatment in cases of accidental poisoning. This may include poisoning from insecticides, herbicides, organic chemicals, intestinal bacterial contaminants or grain overload. Research has demonstrated that activated charcoal can effectively counteract effects of certain oral toxins.
